Plan your trip

These are the questions we are asked before the first message. If yours is not here, write to us — you will have an answer within the hour during working hours.

How many days do you need?

Two days covers the essentials near the city: Ala-Archa and Chonkurchak. Three to four days lets you add Issyk-Kul and either Burana for the history or Kol-Tor for a proper walk. A week means you can take a rest day between the long ones, which is worth doing.

When to come

June to September — everything is open, including the high trails. July and August are the warmest and the busiest.

May and October — the lower valleys and the lake are at their best: green or golden, clear, and almost empty. High walks like Kol-Tor may still be snowbound in May.

November to April — the gorges near the city, the tower, the thermal pools and the ski slope at Chonkurchak all work. Rafting and paragliding do not.

How booking works

Send a request from any page of this site, or write to us on WhatsApp or Telegram. We confirm the date and the plan, agree the price for your group size, and that is the booking. Payment is settled with your guide.

What to bring

Shoes with grip, a layer warmer than you think you need, sunscreen and sunglasses. The altitude makes the sun harder than it feels. Each tour page lists what that specific day needs.

Payment

Cash in Kyrgyz som or US dollars. Card payment is not available in the mountains — change money in Bishkek before you set out.
